About Cate
I'm Cate, a mom of three, a wife, and the photographer behind Cate Connery Bury Photography here in Nashville. I understand these seasons because I'm living them too, with one away at college, one navigating high school, and one still in middle school. I know what it feels like to want to hold onto a chapter before it's gone.
Since 2017, I've built this studio around one belief: what you've built is worth being seen. I hold Certified Professional Photographer and Master Photographer credentials through PPA, and I've been honored as TNPPA's Photographer of the Year, Best Senior Portrait, and Best Children's Portrait, recognition that reflects the same standard of craft and care you'll feel throughout your own portrait experience. What matters most to the families I work with is simpler than any award: I bring both a heart for family and the skill to create artwork you'll treasure for generations.

Cate Connery Bury Photography is a high school senior and family portrait studio in Nashville, TN specializing in creating portrait experiences and artwork where college-bound seniors who struggle with perfectionism and comparison feel celebrated both during the experience and in the artwork we create together and come away believing that their worth isn't measured by what they've accomplished, but instead simply for who they are. The artwork we create together reminds them that their worth is there just because they are, and their parents feel joy and pride every time they walk past it on the wall.
